I've been painting like crazy around here all week, I'm looking forward to Saturday having nothing on my schedule! The weather has been lovely so hopefully we will indulge in a seaside dinner later tonight.  Below are a few studio snaps from the week of work in progress and also some links I loved this week...

STUDIO WORK LIFE / LATELY

It's been a whirlwind lately with the holidays in full swing.  Here is a little glimpse inside December so far.  My favorite month! 

(above) Some of my favorite cards from my shop.  Remember, this is the last weekend to shop! I'm closing my shop for holiday at the end of next week. Thursday will be the last date to receive orders in time for Christmas!

The art of preserving flowers and my velvet ribbon obsession continues

My renewed passport aka daydreaming a lot about my upcoming trip to Antarctica.  Only 15 more days until we leave.  I am over the moon excited for this experience. 

Celebrated my birthday (a few times).  As usual my family, friends, and Hunter made the whole week exciting and special.  There were lots of flowers, cocktails, and cake.  Brunching and dinner. And my mom and I went to Orlando for the night.  We stayed at the Grand Bohemian, got massages, and did some shopping.  It was all perfect! 

Finally, my favorite little Christmas scene in the house. I love everything smelling like fresh pine right now.

As for this weekend I will be catching up on painting and editing, wrapping presents, beginning to bake, and working on some fun projects for this little ole blog.  Hope everyone has a lovely weekend as well.   xox 

HELLO NOVEMBER {AN OCTOBER ROUNDUP}

A few work and life snippets from October.  Such a good month, always… 

 WORK:  I slowed down on custom for hot minute to work on some illustrations and products I've really been wanting to create for my shop. I can't wait to receive samples back from my printer and have them available in the coming weeks.  I've been working on some Christmas items as well, more on those very soon!  The second photo is from a photo shoot for a colloboration that we'll be announcing later in the week. I updated my shop with a handful of new greeting cards, listed some past holiday favorites, and new suites from the summer that are now available for customization.  Check out the new listings here!

 HOME:  We decorated for fall just a tiny bit with the cutest heirloom pumpkins from Trader Joes.  I hung some of my vintage paintings in the dining room, they've been needing a home for awhile.  Twiggy has enjoyed laying on the table and basking in the sun from our back windows.  We enjoyed pumpkin everything, including these bagels from Trader Joes.  Lastly, I began painting and reforming my walk-in closet, I'm probably a little too excited about this room of the house.  I decided on a very dark accent wall (the rest white of course). Before and after photos to come! 

LIFE:  The weather was finally cool this weekend! We were beyond excited to sit outside and enjoy a chilly ocean breeze.  We actually caught a sunset this month.  Even though a few trips to the beach and to Ringling (the rose photo) were for photo shoots, it's still such lovely scenery to enjoy while working. Lastly, Hunter and I celebrated three years on Halloween.  Life is good.  I'm getting so stoked for the holidays, even though this will be my last chill week and weekend at home, I'm looking forward to all that these next two months have in store.

LATELY : STUDIO SNAPS // THINGS IN PROGRESS

A few snapshots from around the studio this past week.  Working on several color ways of this floral print for greeting cards! I made a pink one a while back and loved it, it was time to add more.  I also started on some holiday goods that I'm excited to have in my shop soon!  The little fruits will be turned into a print with a vegetable companion to match!  The others are just some preliminary paintings playing around with lots of color (with Twiggy who likes to help me).

WEEKEND THINGS

I'm a day late but hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and spending time with family for Fathers Day.  I had friends in town so instead of catching up on work I spent all of Saturday eating good food and shopping around with my favorites. Now for that catching up part... xx 

LATELY

Lots of coffees, spring-y things, and trying to get some cooking in when I have the time.  We started an herb garden recently and I just love going outside to clip them before I start cooking dinner.  I've also been trying to make the perfect iced coffee at home (i.e. rather than starbucks every day).  I haven't quite got it right but I will surely share the recipe when I'm pleased with it! Be back with some fun new projects soon. xo

PAINT LIFE

Popping in to say happy Monday.  I spend the weekend painting, working on personal home projects, and practicing with my new studio equipment (see here).  Now it's back to wrapping up wedding invitations! xo

LATELY : ALL THINGS FLORAL

It has been a floraly, photo shooting kind of week over here! I've loved every second of this month and all of the exciting projects I have been working on.  We had tons of flowers left over from a shoot so I've been making arrangements for everyone, placing them all over the house, and of course photographing them.  Can't wait to share some fun things soon! 

HOLIDAY IN FULL SWING

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas and I cannot believe it has come up so quickly! These are a few snapshots from the past couples weeks, around the studio and at my mom's annual open house show.  I had some holiday cards and prints out on display there.  I had fun making these wild bouquets for the event and enjoyed the cooler air on my parents porch while friends and family mingled with us.  

Have you started shopping yet? I guess it is about time for me to start making my gifts-to-buy list! 

SOUTH CAROLINA (VIA INSTAGRAM)

I had an amazing time in South Carolina last week visiting with my grandparents and exploring with my dad.  These are just some of my iPhone snaps from the week.  I can't wait to go through all my "real photos" and share them soon.  It was so chilly everyday and the leaves had just started changing colors.  It was nice to soak it all in and relax for a bit before the holiday madness really kicks up a notch.

HOME SWEET HOME

There not many things I enjoy more than traveling.  Although, coming back home is one of the best parts. Everything seems that much more cozy and welcoming.  I had a BLAST in New Orleans this weekend! but I'm excited to get back to work on fall projects and editing lots of photos.  I also missed these fur balls and Hunter so much.  I love how excited the animals are to see me after I've been gone, they are my favorite, sweetest little nuggets.  I am so looking forward to sharing some Nola snaps and behind the scenes of Camilyn Beth's first fashion show!  More on that soon.

ASHEVILLE IN INSTAGRAMS

This past weekend was spent roadtripping with my friend Ali and shooting a wedding in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina.  Asheville was just the cutest! I wish we would have had more time to explore but we fit in a bit of shopping and breakfast at some really great places.  I'm so excited to go through my photos and share some more soon.  xx

INSTA-FOODIES

{cooking and enjoying fresh fruits and vegetables / coffees with mom / Amazing black bean burgers at Shore in St. Armonds with Caleb / Peaches breakfast with Hunter / Birthday Feast for my dad }

I guess it is kind of a funny thing to take pictures of your food before every meal.  But I can't help it each time, especially when eating out.  The tables are always different colors and textures, the serving dishes, the arrangement, sometimes pretty colors, etc.  I love looking through peoples food photos because they can be so interesting and styled to perfection. I might go a little over board on the posts, but I just enjoy playing with my food sometimes!

Anyone else crazy that it is July 31st? How is this happening?! 

This year is flying by, but at least it has been an exciting one.  I'm so looking forward to what the fall will hold for work, life, travels, and visiting friends, etc.  Oh, and cooler weather...it's been scorching lately!
