RECENT WORK: A CREST WITH MUTED FLORALS

Another pretty crest design with a muted color palette.  Loved the floral inspiration I received for this and the addition of the barn illustration (where this couple will get married) is the little cherry on top!

Visit the shop to order your own custom crest

HAPPY FRIDAY + SOME LINKS

Happy Friday!

I wasn't sure I would make it through this week's to do list but I did by the skin of my teeth! The photo above is from some fun product shots I took with Camilyn Beth, can't wait to share more of these.

Some favorites from the week:

*My thanksgiving print is up in the shop!
*Delicious looking fall pasta salad recipe
*These photos from BHLDN are absolutely stunning, that location!
*Really fun day of the dead halloween inspiration, I'm just looking for an excuse to wear something from my vintage collection
*Why is all the hardware at Anthropologie so beautiful?!
*Studio Arhoj has the cutest ceramics (first spotted in Iceland and I've been madly searching online for them)
*I must find a vintage ladder for plants

ETSY WHOLESALE + A FEW NEW CARDS!

I am so excited to be a part of Etsy Wholesale.  I know I recently posted about this on instagram but I wanted to share a bit more about it on here.  I clearly love the community that is Etsy, so when I found out about the wholesale division I was pretty eager to become involved.  I think it's genius that any shop owner can make wholesale purchases through etsy.  It feels trustworthy and safe for both parties.  Plus the line sheets can be public, so as the buyer you can see prices and know if they will be suitable for you before contacting the maker.  As the seller, I love it because all my listing that were already active could easily be added to my line sheet and etsy automatically calculated the pricing for me.  After my application got approved, It was under an hour to publish my sheet and add the listings I wanted to offer for wholesale. Amazing!

So my friends, this being said, all of my prints and stationery items are now available for wholesale! If you are a shop or know of a shop that would be interested in carrying my paper goods please feel free to get in touch through my shop  (or tag on instagram, @shannonkirsten).

These are a few of my new card designs that are newly listed, can't wait to share more soon. I am stoked about growing my stationery line, for so long I've wanted to add more products and they are finally starting to come to life.  Thank you for following along on this journey!

LATELY : STUDIO SNAPS // THINGS IN PROGRESS

A few snapshots from around the studio this past week.  Working on several color ways of this floral print for greeting cards! I made a pink one a while back and loved it, it was time to add more.  I also started on some holiday goods that I'm excited to have in my shop soon!  The little fruits will be turned into a print with a vegetable companion to match!  The others are just some preliminary paintings playing around with lots of color (with Twiggy who likes to help me).

2014 : LETS DO THIS

Happy New Year friends!
I am a few days late on officially starting my new year due to traveling and today I am so happy to be back at my desk, creating and diving right in.  I am not one to really set "resolutions".  However, I have been thinking about my hopes and dreams for 2014 and all that I want to accomplish.  There is so much I want to do this year and so many exciting things already in the works.  I'm feeling really blessed.  It is a little overwhelming to sit down and make a list of goals, so I have been trying to take my time thinking long and hard about the future of my business and also personal things I would like to change / accomplish.  One major thing (that you may have noticed already taking shape) is updating my branding for my illustration AND photography.  It is so hard to design for yourself right? I can't even say how many variations of my name I've painted in the past few months.  I'm finally so pleased with the way it is all coming together! I still have things to update but it's all coming right along.
I began creating a new portfolio site as well.  Etsy is my favorite way to sell but I've been wanting a place to display past / custom work and explain a bit of my process.  I'm hoping the blog will be a place for sharing things like that more often as well.  Check out all my recent updates (for illustration / design work) in the links below:

Cheers to 2014, the best is yet to come.
