HAPPY LONG WEEKEND

Thank goodness for Friday. I hope you all enjoy this long weekend, I know I'm looking forward to relaxing and maybe working on some fun personal projects.  I've been paining so many new things lately, things that just inspire me and that I've been wanting to try.  I plan to start adding some to the shop soon, like this cacti and some of the other florals I've posted on instagram. I found some vintage botanical books at an estate sale last week and have been using them for inspiration!

Happy Labor day weekend!

SHANNON KIRSTEN x URBAN OUTFITTERS

I am so thrilled to have been selected for Urban Outfitters artist series. A new print shop launched this month where you can order prints in a variety of sizes and printing options! You can also read a little about each artist next to their print(s).  Available on www.urbanoutfitters.com (visit the apartment section and you can view them in 'wall decor')

WEEKEND NOTES : HOME

Can someone please explain why it feels like Monday again today? I'm tired.
I didn't do much this weekend besides try to relax, clean up the house, and sketched a TON for upcoming projects (that I can't wait to share).  I also added a few new prints to the shop including these fun florals, a couple easter cards, and the colorful poppies!

COLOR COLLECTION : RICH, NATURAL GREENS

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8

I'm loving green right now, it can be so bold but natural at the same time.  Good thing Emerald is Pantone's color of the year!  These images and patterns are certainly ones to inspire.  How about the floral print in Valentino's resort '14 collection? I love! Making your own pasta (# 4) looks pretty awesome as well.

LIVING DECOR

Source: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

There is something about indoor plants that can instantly transform a space.  As I am on this journey of turning my house to a home, I have looking for affordable and stylish way to fill empty space and boring corners.  I life how much life plants give to a room.  Instead of looking for more chairs, side tables, and smaller pieces of furniture, I have decided to add some tall floor plants in the meantime.  I love the idea of filling an extra table with smaller pots (like the 5th photo down). I feel a project  coming on...
