OFFICE ADDITIONS : THE PERFECT DESK LAMP

My mom and I went crazy at Ikea the other day.  It was long over due.  I go in phases of being really into getting my office space in shape, then the busyness of work / life takes over and I go back to being unorganized.  Things have been especially busy this spring, so with growth comes change.  I decided it's time to start thinking of practical (yet still pretty and inspiring) ways to keep everything is order.  What better place to start getting some staples than Ikea... I just appreciate the many color and size options and how items still look sleek without breaking the bank.  Among other things I got the other day, this lamp was a little extra find that I intend to use for sketching.  I'm crazy obsessed with it, but it's little brass details and black and white patterned cord are irresistible! And perfectly inline with the style of my studio.  The floor lamp version of this was quite tempting as well (maybe for the living room).  More updates soon xo

OFFICE REMIX

I'm thrilled to be almost finished remixing my office.  It's long overdue and quite the task.  I finished painting the last bit of the wall this week.  Now everything will slowly but surely get put back into place.  It's so nice to have a blank canvas.  I'm not totally sure what else I'm going to hang but I love what has been started with the shelves above.  I wanted one wall with lots of shelving for storing everyday supplies and already packaged goods.  I can't wait to complete it and share more.  This is literally the breath of fresh air I needed to prepare for a new, crazy year!

Happy Monday! 

Here are a few little snippets of what has been going on around here lately (and what is to come).  Lots of floral art prints in progress and the beginnings of holiday items.  I've been trying to re-vamp the office and get more organized, my sleepy assistant makes that task more difficult sometimes.  Silly me for thinking that purchasing letter trays would keep her off of my papers. But at least she's cute. 

IN THE STUDIO // CALLIGRAPHY IN PROCESS

This is a little sneak peek of some projects to come.  I'm beyond excited to have my calligraphy and invitations in a styled shoot this weekend.  I will be dying to see and share photos! I'm also working on more calligraphy options and other holiday things to add to the shop soon.  I got these vintage stamps on Etsy recently.  One of my favorite things about putting an invitation suite together is picking little details like stamps and liner colors, they just add that much more to the design.
