LATELY : ALL THINGS FLORAL

It has been a floraly, photo shooting kind of week over here! I've loved every second of this month and all of the exciting projects I have been working on.  We had tons of flowers left over from a shoot so I've been making arrangements for everyone, placing them all over the house, and of course photographing them.  Can't wait to share some fun things soon!

 brunch at our hotel (Hotel Modern) was so delish, we ate there a couple of times 

Misc snaps from exploring the city.  We of course went to sucre for macarons, Cafe Du Monde for beignets, shopped Magazine Street, and wondered aimlessly in the French Quarter. It was perfection.

 The first row of pics above is from CB's fitting the day before the show.  The second is more wondering and brunching.  The last row of photos is from the "Shop your City" day.  We hung out at Hattie Sparks (where my illustrations and Cami's dresses are sold) with Amy of Dallas Wardrobe and Juley of Upperlyne as they hosted a Camilyn Beth trunk show.  It was so good to see everyone and catch up! 

And the finale! Cami's show was an absolute success and an amazing experience to be a part of.  So proud!  I have many more "real" photos to edit from the weekend so stay tuned!

HOME SWEET HOME

There not many things I enjoy more than traveling.  Although, coming back home is one of the best parts. Everything seems that much more cozy and welcoming.  I had a BLAST in New Orleans this weekend! but I'm excited to get back to work on fall projects and editing lots of photos.  I also missed these fur balls and Hunter so much.  I love how excited the animals are to see me after I've been gone, they are my favorite, sweetest little nuggets.  I am so looking forward to sharing some Nola snaps and behind the scenes of Camilyn Beth's first fashion show!  More on that soon.

INSTA-FOODIES

{cooking and enjoying fresh fruits and vegetables / coffees with mom / Amazing black bean burgers at Shore in St. Armonds with Caleb / Peaches breakfast with Hunter / Birthday Feast for my dad }

I guess it is kind of a funny thing to take pictures of your food before every meal.  But I can't help it each time, especially when eating out.  The tables are always different colors and textures, the serving dishes, the arrangement, sometimes pretty colors, etc.  I love looking through peoples food photos because they can be so interesting and styled to perfection. I might go a little over board on the posts, but I just enjoy playing with my food sometimes!

Anyone else crazy that it is July 31st? How is this happening?! 

This year is flying by, but at least it has been an exciting one.  I'm so looking forward to what the fall will hold for work, life, travels, and visiting friends, etc.  Oh, and cooler weather...it's been scorching lately!

The past couple weeks have consisted of new lettering projects, photo shoots, making a point to have Sunday brunch with Hunter, and trying to take time to relax with my favorite animals.  Things have quiet around here as I wrap up lots of new projects to share!

I guess it looks like all I have been doing is eating sweets and shopping, but I promise that's not true! 

The clothing racks are from a couple recent shoots (wardrobes from Pink & Navy for one and The Kissing Tree Vintage for another).  And it was Hunters birthday last week so cut us some slack on the treats.  I made him pancakes for a birthday breakfast and we had ice cream...twice.  Actually once because the other is frozen yogurt.  And this is how I justify things... Anyways, I also used that pineapple for a shoot...weird but awesome, I know.  It's been quite busy lately and am just so excited about new work (including a few published things!) to come.  I realized I am currently hoarding around NINE recent photo shoots, maybe more, I lost count. I can't wait to photo bomb the crap out of my new website and blog when it's finished.  I have clearing been saving up.  Although, a couple I can't post yet anyways because they will be PUBLISHED. Whoo!! It's going to be good, I promise!
