RECENT WORK: TULUM SAVE THE DATES

Love how these oversized postcards turned out for a recent client, so fun and happy for a wedding in Tulum!  Those fern stamps (available at usps.com) were literally made for these!

RECENT WORK : DAY OF WEDDING STATIONERY

Snaps from a few recent weddings I created day of stationery and signs for.  Painting these menu boards has always been one of my favorite custom projects to create.

RECENT WORK : GARDEN PARTY INSPIRED

I loved creating this suite and pretty garden-y menu for a recent wedding.  We took inspiration from my 'Tuscan Inspired' suite that was featured on Ruffled Blog and Weddings Illustrated last year!  I used the leafy details in the corners while changing the floral colors, darkening the leaves, and thickening the letter style.  The darker hunter green color was mixed by using a few of my greens and I love how it turned out. The original designs were hand painted and lettered using gouache paint.

SOUTHAMPTON SUMMER WEDDING (FEATURED ON VOGUE.COM)

(below photographs by Daphne Youree)

One of my favorite watercolor suites from the summer was featured on Vogue.com this past week for Sophie Elgort and Eric Von Stroh's gorgeous Southampton wedding!  When designing Sophie's invitations we began with that bright, beautiful blue color inspired by a photo her father (photographer, Arthor Elgort) took of the sunset.  I drew the blue from the tones of the sky and also incorporated the local flowers they would be using; sunflowers, hydrangeas, and pink peonies.  All designing was originally done in watercolor.  We created a formal suite, escort cards with little envelopes, table numbers (that were names of special places), menus that double over as place cards, and welcome bags with an info card of the Elgort family's favorite southampton spots! I am still beyond excited to learn of the mention and read what Sophie had to say about all the details of her wedding.  In the article, you can read more about their sweet day at her family's home in Southampton.

REAL WEDDINGS : BRIGHT DAY OF STATIONERY

I loved creating these bright watercolor signs for an upcoming wedding in puerto rico.  I love when brides want lots of day of stationery that matches their invitation suite, signs are just so fun! For this, I created an 8" x 10" guest book sign and "love is sweet" for the dessert table.  The dessert names are 4" x 6" to frame next to their accompanying sweets.  The cocktail and find your seat signs are 11" x 14" and the menu was done on an 16" x 20" cold pressed watercolor art board (these are offered in my shop).  The watercolor escort cards are standard tented card stock.  The bride found the cute glitter tags on Etsy, these will double over as place cards and favor tags.  I hand painted each item with gouache paint (except the glitter tags, the white is acrylic paint).

SOFT GREY WATERCOLOR SUITE

I was playing around with some lettering and watercolor washes for my collection and fell in love with how this grey suite turned out.  It will be added to my shop soon and available for color customization (i.e. you can have the lettering and rsvp / liner watercolor wash in any color!).  I think the simplicity of this would look great with any color scheme.

For this design I used all gouache paint.  I hand letter the original invitation and rsvp, then scan to make multiple invitations from.  The envelopes I hand paint, also using gouache.

Oh, and happy monday!
